Pumpkin Patch

Last Sunday for a Chi Omega sisterhood retreat, we went to the pumpkin patch. Mikala Sharlow planned this trip and this was a blast. Although it was a hot and a very windy day, we had a lot of fun. The pumpkin patch got us all in the mood for October festivities. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Skipping the Small Steps

I have a knack for skipping the small steps and just wanting to be at the finish line. I tend to forget that my small steps are different than other people's steps, and I have a tendency of getting jealous or getting angry at myself for not "accomplishing" what others have in such a short amount time or what I see as a short amount of time.

But I have come to the conclusion that I have my "steps" for a certain reason. That God no doubt is making me take steps the way that He sees will be beneficial to me, not others around me. When I actually took the time to think about that, it's actually incredible. That God designed me in such a way that he knows what obstacles it will take to achieve goals that is honoring to Him and that will benefit me in a way that I couldn't imagine.

So that's just a little about what I've been thinking about in my own life. Isn't that so cool how God will reveal something so little to you that will change your perspective?

Now the boring stuff.. what's happening with me:

Into my sophomore year in college, I have changed my major to Sociology because I was not passionate about teaching. I think I've come to the realization that I am just not meant to be in the program...even if that puts me a couple steps behind. Also this year I am living in the Chi Omega house, and I am loving it. It has been such a blessing to be apart of something that is so much bigger than myself.  Also, I've actually been using my camera this year and trying to get in the swing of things. I love learning more about photography. Both times I used it was really informal, but a lot of fun. I took couple picture for my friend Holly and her boyfriend Justin and took calendar pictures for my sorority as a sisterhood retreat. (I'll post pictures later)

Other than that, I'm still working at Buzzcotti, staying involved, drinking too much coffee for my own good, and embracing the people around me. I have been too blessed by the friendships around me. Whether if they are at a different college than me or around me. This year so far has been wonderful.

I'm so excited for fall: the fashion, the weather, Hocus Pocus, pumpkin everthing, and so much more. That's something to be thankful about.

Any who, thank for reading!
love, Regs.

Royals V. Yankees

This past Saturday, my dad (Troy), bother (Nathan), sister (Falecia), and I packed our mini van and took a road trip to Kanas City, Missouri, to watch the Royals play the Yankees.

They love when I take pictures of them...

Always need popcorn for a road trip, especially when it's in a cute package!

We ate at this fancy place called the Elephant Bar... maybe too fancy before a baseball game.

I am blessed to have these crazy people in my life.

My dad bought $10 worth of raffle tickets to try to win around $8,000..... we didn't win.

but if we would've won... I would've bought a new car.

I got to see Derek Jeter play in his last season of baseball.. I guess he's a big deal.

Action shot! It would've been better, but the net was in the way to keep the fans safe from foul balls.

The night ended with roaring fans because the Royals won!!

college hill date

The other day, I had a date with two of my best friends. We went to College Hill and ate at this pizza place called Ziggy's. It was a nice night so we ate on the patio. After that, we had some ice cream and went to Oak Park and they taught me a little bit more about my camera. I love learning new quirks about my camera because I love taking photos. I really am going to get good at it, I just have to be persistent and set goals for myself. Here are some photos I took the other day, there is NO EDITING, just my camera's abilities.
