A Good Start

I have been back in Emporia for about a week now, and it has been good to get back into routine and be reunited with my all my friends. I also got initated in my sorority. So this is what my week looked like

Monday: That day was kind of rough. I woke up and got all my belongings in my van and then just when I was about to leave, I could not find my dorm room keys. Thank God for a sister like Falecia, she helped me look for my keys for like an hour. We eventually found them, they were all tangled up in my headbands in my car. After I found my keys, I had to run some errands and had to run back home one more time to say goodbye to my brothers. After we said our goodbyes, I got in my van, tried to start my car-it didn't work. So I prayed that it would work, and then it did. PRAISE THE LORD.
So that was my start to journey back to Emporia. I got here safely, and then had two take two trips to get all my belongings back in my room and couple hours later, I had finished unpacking and smashing all my clothes in my closet. That night I just hung around with friends and watched the Bachelor.

Tuesday: Slept in, ate lunch, got my books, paid for tuition, and just hung around Emporia all day. That night I watched Teen Mom and some other show with my floor and mentally prepared myself for the week.

Wednesday: Woke up at 7:50 a.m. and took my time to get ready for my first class. My first class is science (our physical world) it is a 5 credit hour class, so I will have it everyday. The teacher seems nice and seems that his class will be doable. So that wasn't too bad. After that, I had an hour break. I went back, had some Jesus time, had breakfast, and then mentally prepared to get back in the freezing cold. I went to my sociology class. My professor in this class is very intimidating and I'm a little nervous because I've heard it's hard. And that is all my classes for M,W,F. After that, I ate lunch and worked out. After that, I went to work. It was good. It was my first time closing all by myself and I was really nervous. It went okay..I think. Definitely room for improvement though. After that, I chilled and got ready for initiation. I went to initiation and I can't tell y'all what happened because it's secretive. I did get award though. I got the award of Model Initiate, basically that means the active members thought I embodied Chi Omega very well. I just feel so humbled that people thought that about me and honored to have that award.

Thursday: I had science at 10 a.m. and it was the lab part of the class. It wasn't too bad, just had to figure out what mineral was what and my teacher helped us a lot. After that, had a lunch break and then went to my History class. It is up four flights of stairs, so towards the end I was trying to catch my breath. But my history teacher is HILARIOUS. He is so passionate about history that it becomes contagious. Thank you Allie Dysart for telling me to get him. Also another plus about this class is that the students got a free text book because it is brand new and we are the guinea pigs of the book. After that class, I had my leadership class/ ETEAM meeting. It was wonderful. I am so excited to be apart of this group and make new students feel more at home and welcomed. After that, probably just chilled around and then had initiation again.

Friday: It was a lot like Wednesday, but I didn't have initiation. That night I watched a documentary on Netflix called Blackfish. I will never go to SeaWorld again. Watch it.

Saturday: It was the last day of initiation and then after that all of  us, Chi Omega girls, watched She's The Man and ate pizza. Then Carly, Victoria, Stacy, Shianne, Sav, Mikala, Jaden, and I went to the rec center and played four on four basketball. It was a blast. My team won! After that, we planned a spontaneous trip to Topeka, Kansas. Mikala, Jaden, Shianne, Sav, Joey, and I all hopped into Gray Ghost (shi's car) drove to Topeka and Mikala, Jaden, and Shianne go their nose's pierced. After that, we went to Chipotle and then Orange Leaf. We got back chilled at the Chi Omega house and then had a sleepover and watched Date Night. It was a good day.

Sunday: Well that is today. I went to 12th Avenue Baptist Church with Jaden, Joe, Shianne, and Mikala. It was a really good sermon about contribution to the church and the world. Talked a lot about money and had some sweet worship songs. I have homework I need to do, laundry, and cleaning.

During this week, my devotions were awesome and God just revealed little stuff to me and was always is reminding me that He is control and that He has the best in store for me. I am still praying for another job and hopefully I will keep on track with all my classes.

Thanks for reading,
                              Love Reggs.
